Licence
You bought the sounds, so go and use them. Every preset and sample from Preset Food is royalty-free to use in your own music. No clearances, no royalties, no forms.
Last updated 26 October 2026.
What you can do
- Use them in your music. Releases on vinyl, digital, streaming, dubplates, DJ sets, mixes, radio, sync, YouTube, TikTok, whatever. Commercial or not, signed or unsigned.
- Tweak them. Mangle the presets, resample them, chop the samples. Once it's in your tune, it's your tune.
- Keep the money. Everything your music earns is yours. You don't owe me a penny or a credit. A shout-out is always appreciated though.
- Make music with other people. If you're in a duo or a band, tracks you make together are covered as long as one of you bought the pack.
What you can't do
- Share, sell or give away the sounds themselves. Not the presets, not the samples, not as they come and not tweaked. That includes putting them in your own sample packs, preset banks, construction kits, sound libraries, plugins or apps, or uploading them anywhere people can download them.
- Release a sound on its own. A preset or sample has to be part of a piece of music you made, not the whole piece. Bouncing a loop out unchanged and calling it a track doesn't count.
- Claim the sounds as your own. Don't register a sample on its own with Content ID or any other fingerprinting service. It causes trouble for everyone else using the same pack. Your finished tunes are fine.
- Train AI on them. Don't use the sounds to train or improve an AI model, sound generator or anything like that.
The legal version
The presets and samples remain the copyright of TMC Music Limited. When you buy a pack you get a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free licence to use its contents in your own musical works and performances, on the terms above. The licence is personal to you (or your music project) and can't be transferred or sublicensed. If you break these terms, the licence ends for whatever you misused, but music you'd already released properly stays fine.
Not sure if something's OK? Email info@presetfood.com and ask. I'm pretty relaxed about anything that's actually making music.
